My project

Now there are 6 days left climb until I board the flight to Brazil. On Friday the 13th gehts los, if not even a good sign!
from Frankfurt via Sao Paulo, I will fly to Natal. From there it goes about 130 km with the taxi inland to Araruna, the first destination of my journey.
In Araruna I will in the training center of the organization "Afink" resident first 4 weeks and do a language course . The organization
"Afink" supported by the partner organization in Germany "projects for the poor people eV , in cooperation with the population Araruna town in northeastern Brazil a number of projects to improve living conditions in the region. These include water, animal breeding and beekeeping projects and community work and reforestation. In addition, see the various seminars such as English education center, craft and training courses as well as the meeting of children and women's groups instead.

On September 13 I will fly out from Natal by Rondonópolis . The goal my journey and my home for the rest of the year. Rondonópolis is a city the size of Mainz in the heart of South America in the State of Mato Grosso.

Here I will do my social service for peace and reconciliation in the project "Cobra" . The project consists
OFF3 nurseries and 2 youth centers and a training center in the city of Rondo Polis. Support, partner organizations and Koblenz Ingelheim Brazil club. Here are the pre-school children fed and cared for all day, school children receive school care and homework help. In addition, counseling in nutrition and health issues and family support services offered

The main idea is , with as few resources to achieve as much as possible. It should go not only to start-up funding for the immediate and sustaining the basic needs and improve the life of those affected. There are conditions to be created that would increase these people their self-esteem and self-confidence, exercise their democratic rights and live in dignity.
Development aid should be geleisten based on mutual respect and willingness to learn, of solidarity and partnership with each other, ie, instead of poverty solidarity .

My duties as a volunteer will be :

• cooperation from the services of two youth centers
  in the musical, cultural and sporting
• assisting in the care of children in the Day care centers
• help in looking after the families of the children from the day care
  
• assisting in the care of children and young people on outings and events
